Bourbon Coffee Process

Bourbon Coffee Process
Bourbon coffee is one of the oldest and most valued varieties, known for its balanced flavor, medium body, and natural sweetness.
Below are the steps producers follow to achieve excellence in every bean:

Hand Harvesting
Coffee beans are carefully hand-picked at their optimal ripeness.
Traditional Depulping
The pulp is removed using specialized machinery, leaving the mucilage on the bean.
Natural Fermentation
Beans ferment for 12 to 24 hours in tanks, allowing the mucilage to separate without altering the flavor.
Fresh Water Washing
Beans are washed in special channels to remove remaining mucilage residues.
Artisanal Sun Drying
They are slowly sun-dried on patios or raised beds, turned regularly for even drying.
Key Features
Selective Harvesting
Only ripe beans are selected to ensure a consistent and high-quality cup.
Fermentation Control
Continuous monitoring preserves the coffee’s natural flavors.
Careful Sun Drying
Manual turning ensures uniform and natural drying.
This artisanal process enhances Bourbon's sweet and fruity notes, offering a rich and smooth experience in every cup.
